16th December- Ricardo basic studio ops

Me and Andrew pitched ideas to Ricardo, this went well as he thought that out ideas was good and also gave us some more advice on what other work we could put into it.

Today I made some questions for librarian this took me around half an hour. After dinner we went down the library and filmed her. I felt that this went very well as well as the camera shots looked also good.

Today i helped the group with doing the proposal for out production.

6th December - peter's lesson

Today i went to Lever street where i planned my paperwork. i made notes for my location recce, call sheet and made a sketch of my floor plan and where i will put my cameras.

Today i started buy assignment for Ricardo.

Peter's lesson

In peter's lesson so far i have contributed into helping set up the band by setting up the wires, setting up the tricster and preparing the studio floor. The roles i have done so far are directing floor managing and dealing with the wires. When directing, i had to tell the camera men to what shots i would like from them and then after recording, control the vision mixer by telling them what camera to go to. within directing i looked at the screen and tried too use my creative skills to see what shot i could use next.

For my news package production work, so far i have thought of ideas of what to put into the news package production about the history of manchester college and come up with some ideas for an interview with one of the librarians about her experience of fielder campus. i was then filmed interviewing her.

9th November- Ricardo

Today the whole group made a program proposal by choosing a different bit to talk about and then we put it all together to make a full proposal. As a group, we then did some research on the history of the Manchester college and put it into a word document of out findings. 

Tuesday 25th October

Known Risks

Possibility of stones/dirt hitting operator/camera from bikes so position well back to avoid flying debris.

The use of moving motor vehicles makes this shoot potentially hazardous. Please be aware of your surroundings and the movement of vehicles at high speed. This is a relatively safe working environment, but you must always ensure you are not putting yourself at risk by being in the way of machinery/operatives. Fluorescent jackets will be available and are compulsory. Vicky Monk has been advised to look after crew operating on track and in pit area, and if you are unsure of the areas which are safe to work from then please consult with either Chris Moorcroft, Vicky Monk, or the clerk of the course.

Suitable footwear in the pit area and on track is required.

The ground is fairly uneven. Please watch your footing and point out any potential hazards you spot to your colleagues.

The weather forecast is variable so please dress appropriately and bring appropriate wet weather clothing plus a change of clothing to freshen up afterwards. A limited number of ponchos are available at request.

General Safety:

Please look after yourself and others around you. Never put yourself or others at risk. Stay well back from track area whilst riders are racing. Please be aware of noisy environment. Use suitable ear protection. Headsets, grommets and ear defenders are all available, but if you have your own then please bring them with you as we do have limited quantities. Use suitable footwear and clothing. Please flag up these issues if you require any further assistance.

our group have chosen to research about the history of the manchester college. i have so far being researching about the history of the college. i will then be doing some research into other newspackage shows e.t.c.
